C3, 68 coupe left rear sagging

I've noticed a pronounced sag on the rear drivers side of the car. I've measured from the street to the same points on the bottom of the chassis, on both sides, and heres what I get, drivers front, 6.25 in, pass front, 6.75 in, drivers rear, 5.75 in, pass rear, 6.25 in. The same difference appears between the wheels and the wells at all 4 wheel locations. I had it up on a lift, and I dont see anything in the chassis that would cause this. A friendly mechanic says he suspects that the rear leaf spring is bad. It sure looks pretty rusty and cruddy, but I'm not sure that the look of it is telling me anything important. Does anyone have any insight into this? Any old school trick to figure out if the springs are bad, or if the area that they mount in is corrupted somehow?

    Thanx

Try taking off the rear spring, swing it around end to end and re-install. The left side spring takes the most load through the years, being just the driver in the car.

      Thanx Bob,
      I'll give it a try.

Noticed the same, though not as pronounced on my 68 that's just getting back on the road now.

Might try the spring reveral in a bit.

I'm not sure I want the right side to sag instead of the left, so if it is the spring, I'm going to replace it.
