    Lee my original owner 70 still has the original power brake booster. It has been in use now for over 33 years and about 165K miles. I removed it for a repaint on the bottom due to the master cylinder leaking fluid and repainted it. Even though a lot of wrenching is required, I put the original back on. That was about 10 years ago. No telling how many years of use these units have and the original can be rebuilt.

      I'd wonder about the unit you purchased, too. Steve Gregori can rebuild your original at www.brakeboosters.com. I've had him do two for me. It's the only way I'd go in the future, vs. anything from an auto parts store.
