I am desperately looking for a set of 4 original Goodyear Eagle GT for my 1982 CE. Any suggestions?

I don't know where you could find a set of these. You could try eBay; just search on Goodyear Eagle GT. I don't think that you'll find what you're looking for, but it's worth a try. These tires were discontinued by Goodyear a long time ago (well over 10 years ago) and I would not expect to find a complete car set in any tire shop inventory. You might find a "straggler" here and there and if you keep after it long enough you might be able to put a car set together.
While you're doing this, you might want to put on a set of Goodyear Eagle GT IIs. This tire is still available from Goodyear and it's available in the 255-60-15 size used on your car (it's also available in the 225-70-15 size used on other later C3s). The sidewall configuration will be somewhat different, but the tread pattern and general configuration is very close to the original Goodyear GT's.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -
