I understand that Satin Black paint is used on: Steering column, w/w vent inside, battery holddown bracket, underhood. Anywhere else I should know? What brand is correct and where to purchase? I live in So. Calif. (I'm not talking semi-gloss Black). Thank You in advance.

For exterior and interior paints applied by the General, use the PPG website [www.autocolorlibrary.com] and you'll get the exact blend code + gloss factor by major component. On items that were painted by GM suppliers (like battery tray), you'll have to go by what the JG books say and innovate....
