I have a '75 C-3 with a 350, Q-Jet carb. Does anyone have a supplier for the solonoid to kick up the idle speed for the a/c to operate correctly? I was told that a junk yard unit might not work because there were many different types produced. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Throttle Solonoid
Many of these solenoids were actually purchased by Delco Remy with GM/DR markings to order from multiple vendors. If you want full factory concours, you'll need a source with NOS DR stock. Many of the catalog parts houses (Corvette Central, Paragon, Dr. Rebuild, Mid America) stock these items.
If you're looking for correct function that may have subtile and different from the period marks on the case, decal/label, Etc., try a major (or minor) local autoparts shop with good catalogs. Start with NAPA as they are pretty darn good with a hefty breadth of sources.- Top

The original solenoid for your '75 was GM #1997437. This was later replaced with GM #1997458. Unfortunately, both are now discontinued. Dr. Rebuild has a solenoid available for your car under his part number 3275622 at a cost of $39.85. As Jack Humphrey suggests, you may be able to get a functional replacement from an auto parts store and NAPA would be a good one to check first. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
