Tell us the year and application and you may get better results. I have an office filled with GM official and unofficial part books, but Google will not work with them.

I have some old GM Standard Parts Books that have lots of 6 digit GM part numbers that begin with 1, but they are not in numerical order. If you come close on the size, at least you know where to look in that book. Or you can look in a Part History book to see if it was superceded to another. Then you can find the new one and know where to look in the older Standard Parts books for the old specs. Sometimes a bolt with a captive washer is superceded to a separate bolt and a separate lock washer i.e. it’s not an assembly.

If a bolt used in production was not sold over the counter, then the size is only listed on the GM blueprint.

PS then you gotta ask Art

      Geoffrey------

This particular fastner was a PRODUCTION-only piece; it was never available in SERVICE. Although I have some information on PRODUCTION-only fastners, I don't have anything on this one.

Geoffrey I should have put a little more information in my first post. May have made this easier. The GM dealer here couldn't help me with this. There usually great at trying to find out information for me. The year is 65, it's a 1/4in. and I think fine thread but I'm not sure. The length isn't important. Its for the rear blower mounting and I haven't had any luck trying to start a bolt in the mounting plates. I think I will have to clean them out with a tap. Before I do this I was hoping to get the threads per in. Thanks Mike
