I seem to remember a short piece of (what I thought was) fiberglass at the bottom of the door jamb on my 69 Corvette now that you mention it. I sold the car in 1985, so I can't recall exactly what it looked like. CRS

The drvers side water diverter strip is in place on my 1970 and only the passenger is missing. The holes for the rivets exist. My car is a convertable with factory original shoulder harness which may account for it having the water diverter strips. My car did not have these added and the existing drivers side matches the AIM pictorial view. The AIM sheet B9 shows them riveted and cemented with 50K type cement.

I wish I had a view of the 1974 design. From what I have read in the response posts it sounds like it is located in a different position and of a different design. Can any one email or fax me a copy of the 1974 AIM view? I will call Dr. Rebuild in the morning and see if I can get a part view from them, but it will not be as good as having the AIM view.
