    Message for Patrick Hulst

    Hey Patrick,

Not sure if you remember me. You helped me with some technical issues for my interior (fixing the dash pad with liquid foam). Worked GREAT.

I had a question about my A/C fan. Not sure if your son's vette had A/C.

If you get this message, can you let me know if you did some work on the A/C?

    Thanks

Note my new e-mail address is PeterBouza@bellsouth.net

    Bye

    My son's only 7.

His Vette is about 8 inches long and sits on a bookshelf in his room.

      P.S.

My 71 has AC, amongst other options.
My Dad's 72 has AC, amongst other options, too.
My 72 does not have AC. My 72 has a radio and white letter tires and power brakes - that's it. Oh, and it also has a brand new Top Flight award from the Seven Springs Regional last weekend.

My first guess, based on your question below, is that you have two problems:

      1. The switch in the center console that controls your fan speeds is dirty. This will cause you to have fan speeds that seem to be the same. This switch can be disassembled and cleaned, or replaced. I'd try cleaning it first - it costs less and you'll get more satisfaction having repaired it yourself.

      2. The high speed fan relay mounted on the AC/heater box in your engine compartment, near that nice foil Harrison label, is non functional. This will cause you not to have the high speed working. This may not work due to bad contacts or due to a fried internal component. While this part is relatively easy to find at the local parts store ($12 at Auto Zone from what I can see), you can also often remove its cover and clean the internal contacts to make an original unit function once again. Depending on how accurate the configuration of the parts store unit is, you can also try using your original cover on a new internal unit to keep that "original" look.

        The only problem is

that you didn't answer the question. Does your son's Corvette have a/c?

          Hmmmmmm....

I'm afraid to say that there isn't enough detail in the models to really tell. His C4 model cars (eg. 95 pace Car) obviously do, but I'm not sure about his Shark models.

              Clem,

Old enough (young enough?) to be your son.

could be if i had gotten a earlier start in life but i was 33 when my only child was born. i was a firm believer that if you are still making payments on the engagament ring when the first kid comes you never seem to catch up.
