Does anyone have a recommendation for a rebuilding service for a 1963 Corvette Wonderbar radio? Thanks, Rex NCRS #8089

Re: Wonderbar radio
Charles Siegfried (707-823-7927) did my 61 radio. I was missing the bottom cover to the radio. He had one and did not charge me for it. Great to deal with. Always returned my calls. Radio looks great. I have not installed it yet. Joe DeLuca #37862- Top

Re: Wonderbar radio
Rex,
Charles Siegfried will recondition your wonderbar to better than new condition and will charge around $400. Others like Bill Kromer will "go through" your radio and fix what appears to be necessary for around $150. Bill does a nice job if you are on a limited budget. I've gone both routes and believe the Siegfried approach is best. Do it once and it will last for many trouble free years. Just my $0.02- Top

Re: Wonderbar radio
Rex,
I had mine rebuilt by Tony Mac Crutchfield (website = www.wonderbarman.com) also (email = mac@wonderbarman.com & tonymacII@webtv.net). (731) 696-4163. He determined that a speaker that I had provided had the wrong resistance (impedance?). As an alternative he rebuilt the original speaker. It works fine and I didn't think the cost was unreasonable.
