    #781 Horn Relay ?

    Hi all,
I have a #781 horn relay in my 1961 and for some reason it not functioning like it should. The low horn blows perfectly, but with the high note pluged in it only makes a plunk sound in the relay along with the low note blowing. Any ideas? The sound maybe alittle different than described but it's the best I can do. The relay did function perefectly at one time. The high note plays fine when I connect it to a outside power source.
    Thanks,
    Craig W.

Both horns are attached to the horn relay output in parallel. If one horn sounds properly, then the problem is most likely NOT the result of the relay. Could be intermittent ground at the faulty horn, poor power connection at the horn or the horn is starting to fail. Verify by disconnecting the faulty horn and connecting a voltmeter or test light in place of it to observe that side's power lead goes 'hot' each and every time you honk.
