    Hey Dennis -

You'll need a service manual or assembly manual since you haven't done this before. First remove all the handles, knobs, cranks, etc from the door liner. The cranks and door lock are removed with a special tool available at any auto supply. Then remove the door liner and the inside cover plates to get access to the window tracks. The window has two mounting clips at each end of the bottom of the window. The clips are screwed to the top runner. Remove the screws and pull the old window out - reverse the procedure to install. The above is from memory, so check the service manual or assembly manual.

Dennis - I just got through doing this on my 66 a few months ago, and here's my recollection. I'm assuming that you've removed the vent windows as well, because I don't think you can get the windows back in with the vent window hardward installed. Drop the window down into the door with the regulator in the down position. Once you've done that, you can insert the window into the back channel and push it into the up position. Holdilng the window as far into the up position as possible, raise the regulator into the up position so that the channel holding the window lines up withe holes in the door. You can extend a socket wrench into the door so that you can insert the mounting screws into brackets and window base. Obviously helps to have an extra pair of hands, but it can be done solo. Getting the vent window back in is tricky, but follow the instructions in the shop manual (reverse of the removal instructions) and with some patience you'll eventually get it into place. Good Luck.

        John
