I need to replace the passenger side dash pad on my 67. The last time I replaced a dash pad was in the mid 70's and I had the whole dash out of the car. The question is, do I have to take the whole dash out, or can it be replaced with the fiberglass in place? My memory is too foggy to remember.

Re: 67 Dash pad replacement
I did my 63 pads a year ago and if my memory is correct I think you could do the passengers side while the dash is in place. It would be easier if the dash was out. The toughest part would be installing the clips in the radio area. I think you would have to remove the radio. It might also be difficult to squeeze the new pad down tight in the opening.- Top

Re: 67 Dash pad replacement
Just replaced the dashpads in my '65, Ed. I left the fiberglass center section in the car, but removed the radio side panels, the radio, and the glove box door/liner.
Bob's right, the clips near the radio are difficult, but not impossible. I used a combination of screwdriver to spread them to remove them, and narrow-nosed pliers to reinstall them. Several of my clips broke on reinstall; I guess they were tired from previous manipulations.
Don't forget the nuts under the leading edge of the dashpad forward of the glove box.
