Hi, I have a 1970 Corvette that I'm putting back together piece by piece. The lower Drivers side dash pad has a bracket on the back side, down low near the vent mechanism. It has four round holes in it about the size of a nickel. Is something supposed to go in these? What is the purpose of this bracket? Thanks for the help.

Re: C3 Lower Dash Pad
Is it to the left of the steering column when installed? There's the Odometer reset knob and the Wiper Bay override assembly - both of which are in that area. I don't have any pictures of my '70 though. You might check the Assembly Instruction Manual as it would certainly show it if it's an original part, and not something a prior owner added along the way. You can purchase the AIM through NCRS on this website. ~Juliet
