I have the stock 71 horn on my car and I'm guessing its the "low" note becuase it sounds terrible. I had a 76 Vette and it had two horns the sounded great together. At the risk of comitting an outrageous "modification," is there room for a second horn on a 71 car and is there a trick to wiring it? I'm guessing I could add a jumper from the wire going to the primary horn. What note horn(s) came on a stock 76 Vette? Thank you gentlemen and forgive me for wanting to modify a "stock" car.

No....
there was a move (cost savings?????) that started in '71 where Corvette was reduced to a one-horn wonder. It's factory CORRECT for a single horn configuration.... They sound terrible, but that's the way history was! In 1974, option U05 entered the scene (dual horns) making consumers pay for what had been a standard feature on earlier Corvettes.- Top

Re: No....again
That is, if the car has the optional UA6 alarm option.
ALL 72's had two horns.
