C2 63 Grille mountng/position

I had a front clip installed on my convertible driver and am in the process of installing the grille and front bumpers. There are seven mounting tabs across the bottom and three on the top center portion of the grille. Questions:

1. Are the tabs painted black or body color?
2. Do the top tabs go in front or in back of the grille?

If I position the top tabs in front, which seems to fit best, the angle of the grille seems to be too vertical. Could someone with a 63 or 64 be willing to email some pics that shows the angle of the grille to the side moulding and also one that shows the position of the top tabs?
