    C1 fuel gauge adjustment

I had a MAJOR problem that started with the 56 last weekend. While I was out of town, my wife discovered (the hard way) that when the gas gauge reads 1/8 full, the tank is really EMPTY. Is there any way to adjust the gauge or sending unit to get it to read right?

Or, more importantly, any marriage counselors with suggestions on how to help the other problem? To make matters worse, she also learned about the stupid new $20 California mandated Mr. Safety, anti-spill, anti-leak, vapor stop, low flow gas cans. What a STUPID device - especially if you don't have the fuel nozzle restrictor in the filler neck.

    thanks

if the sending unit float rod is mis-adjusted, simply bend the arm upwards till the gauge reads empty. if the trouble is in the fuel gauge, this won,t help and you'll have to remove the gauge and have it recalibrated.Couldn't you also have the disgrunteled wife recalibrated while you're at it? good luck, mike
