C1 Horn

I need to replace one horn on my '56. Are there any passenger cars from that era with the correct horns for a '56?

main body of clamshell will be like similiar year pass car horns but bracket will almost certainly differ.swap brackets an option. mike

The good news is that 1955-56 Chevrolet passenger cars, and likely other 55-56 GM cars, used the same horn assembly as the Corvette. The bad news is that finding such a car, with original horns still in place, might be a real challenge these days.

joe: don't think the mounting bracket from a 55-6 chevy pass car will mount the horn on the vet in the same position as the stodck 56 vet hern bracket. been years but seem to recall having to change brackets(welding involved) mike

Use your 56 Corvette bracket , the car bracket holes are different location and get a 55 to 56 Car horn, not realy correct but close and they made a zillion of them.
