I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. Someone on corvetteforum.com suggested I post this here.....
I recently assumed ownership of my father-in-laws '67 Stingray (white exterior/red interior) with the 428 cc motor.
The car is, essentially, all original save the motor and has largely been a garage queen. That's not to say it hasn't been kept up, as he had it serviced each year, but only minimmally. The car starts and runs well, but feels like it could use a real going over (hey the tires are 20 years old ).
So, here's where I need help....as much as I'd love to do the work myself, I don't have the time, tools or complete ability to do it.
I'm looking for recommendations of a good Corvette mechanic/restorer in the central-New Jersey area. I've heard of Corvette Country in West Chester, PA but I was hoping to not have to travel that far.
I'd like to get the car to where I could safely drive it to/from work several times a week (about a 30mile round-trip in some stop-go traffic).
Thanks in advance. I have a feeling this will be an adventure.
