1972 RH Lower Dash Pad Removal

After removing the obvious screws as shown in the assembly manual, does the dash pad with 'map pocket' just pull out? Or is it glued or attached some how other than shown in assembly manual or is it just a very tight fit? Any pointers here on how to remove this RH lower dash pad would be appreaciated.
    Thanks Wes

The door sill plate has to be removed, then remove the plastic kick panel. Be very careful removing the plastic kick panel, the upper portion of the kick panel which fits into the dash could tear the covering of the dash if you are reckless. Remove the screws on the right and left sides of the dash piece as well as the screws at the top and carefully remove it.

I just pulled my dash apart last weekend to put some speakers in. 3 screws on the top, 2 on each side, unscrew black vent knob off and pull it hard. It is a very tight fit. Eric
