1961 Paint ?

Hi all,
I am in the process of doing some interior detail work and would like to know if these should show signs of painting.
1. Should the phillips head screws holding the gas tank cover be painted?
2. Should the drip rail phillips heads screws be painted?
3. When the coves were painted a different color how far into the door jamb did the actual color extend?

Follow up Question

Here's another question to ponder.
Does any other the soft top mounting hardware and bolts themselves that attach to the body get painted or was this added after the painting process?

Gas tank cover screws- no paint

Drip rails were attached and painted.

Cove color did not extend into jambs.

Soft top brackets and installation hardware should be painted.
