I am installing the plug wire bracket and the coil bracket that gets bolted to the intake manifold on my 61. I checked the AIM and could not find the torque for the intake manifold bolts. Thanks for the help, Joe DeLuca Member #37862

Re: C1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TORQUE
Joe,
I am sure that there is a torque spec somewhere out there, but I dont ever recall using a torque wrench in the last 30 years on the intake bolts. I just put my trusty 8" box wnd wrench on them and snug them down real good. Never had one leak or stripped a thread. There are several that can only be tightenen with a crows foot attachment on a torque wrench, and then I would have to do the calculation to compensate for the offset..... Just snug them up nice and tight and check again after running the engine for a few minutes.

Re: C1 INTAKE MANIFOLD TORQUE
Joe,
John's responses refer to the intake manifold-to-head bolts. If your question is addressing these 12, 3/8"x1" NC fasteners (9/16" wrench), then previous answere work well. If you are asking about the coil bracket and spark plug bracket mounting bolts, I've never seen torque specs given for them. My advice is just tighten them down snuggly with a wrench.
