    C2 65 Starter wire routing

In the 65, AIM UPC 12 Ref. A9 it shows the starter wires going down the firewall close to the heater core hose connections. The clip that holds the wires at the bottom dosen't have a fastner for it in the AIM. Can someone tell me is this clip bonded on the firewall? What is the approx. location of it? Is it mounted just below the heater box. Thanks Mike

Mike -- if you're talking a non-C60 car, I believe the answer is that the clip goes under the lower left nut that holds the outer heater box/cover to firewall. If air car = more complicated, as the wiring branch-off to the starter occurs 6" closer to the vehicle centerline, and the starter wiring drops directly and is held in the same (lowest RH riveted to firewall) clip as the +ve battery cable. If my air car is correct, then the sketch of '65 AIM C60 E2 (which repeats the sketch of the clip of the non-air car) is wrong, as there is only one potential clip location (added to the inboard central stud of cover 3823092, which is engine-side of the heater core tubes [sht D4 of C60]), and I don't see a clip there.
