    Remember, no one MADE Dave sell the car (well, maybe his wife ).
    Why he decided to take $615,000 now vs. turning down nearly $750,000 a few years ago is beyond me.

    I just wonder if there was some shill bidding a few years ago to get it up near reserve and see if someone would take it. But, that's just a thought I had, nothing more. No proof.

            why would a L-88 without the orignal engine be worth that kind of money when everybody poo poos restamps????

                    Clem, you should know full well that according to NCRS, that isn't restamping, that is restoration. And it only has 12 miles on it.

                    Odd, I always thought when a car was truly restored, the miles started over again anyway. At least many of them have 10 or 20 or so on their odometers anyway.
