    Upholsterers in St. Louis Area

Anyone know of a good seat upholsterer in the St. Louis area? Purchasing new leather seat covers and foams for my '72, and need to find someone GOOD to put them on.

    Thx,
    Kevin

What do your fellow St. Louis Chapter members of NCRS say at your local chapter meeting?

Sorry Jack, but I'm new to Corvette ownership, and to the NCRS. How do I go about finding contact information for my local NCRS chapters?

You can call the merchandise/membership office in Cincinatti and you should be able to navigate this site to get info and links to the individual NCRS chapters. Joining and getting active in your local NCRS chapter can be one heck of a bargain! Those chapters that are active will provide you with face to face encounters with folks who've been there/got the T-shirt, know who has and does what in your neck of the woods as well as provide you with a helping hand on the learning curve AND they have both cars and parts to share in general....

Thx Jack. I have been trying to navigate the NCRS site to get info. on these chapters...to no avail. I will try phoning Cincinnati, maybe they can help.

          Thx again,
          Kevin

            Kevin,
Right at the top of this page is a button marked "contacts." Click on it and it will take you to a page that begins with all the national officers then national team leaders and lastly chapters. Scroll down that page and you will find contact information for the St. Louis chapter. Chapters are listed alphabetically.

Kevin, email me at keokukazoo@earthlink.net - I'm in the St. Louis chapter and we're no secret society. All Corvette lovers welcome. As to your question about upholstery, I haven't had any done locally but I'm sure someone else in the chapter would offer an opinion.

                  Kevin,

As an alternative, seriously consider calling Al Knoch, and getting a package deal on buying the covers, foam and installation. NO ONE does it as well as his guys do. I think it's well worth the extra cost it will take to ship your frames down to him. He will also clean them and paint them if you want, but I did that myself first.

Wow, I am beginning to think my new membershipt to NCRS has already paid off! Thx all for the input. Terry, I don't know how I missed that "Contact" button at the top of the page:) Bernard, I am sending you an email today. I would be interested in knowing more about the St. Louis chapter of NCRS. And Patrick, I fully intended to purchase my covers/foams from Knoch...what I did NOT know was that I could ship my frames to them for installation there. I am going to call them today to inquire. Again, thx all.

Re: Upholsterers in St. Louis Area

I have watched Al's guys install these at the shows for several years now, both vinyl and leather. I have been especially impressed with Arturo, he is what appears to be the senior installer of the bunch, and he is on the great 2hr plus video I bought. They are the best in my book....but I plan to install my own with all the tips I have noted from Arturo and the video. My frames are apart on my 66 and bead blasted, now to black plate the mounts and paint the frames....Craig
