    C2 Convertible top questions

Am installing a new Al Knoch top on my early Dec 63 conv. I have the AK Video and have noted a couple of differences in the video and the 63 Shop Manual. I am looking for advice...
    1) The manual references a cable on the sides above the windows. My top has no evidence of there ever being a cable installed nor does the video reference this cable. What gives?
    2) THe manual tells you to use adhesive on the header when attaching the top and on the weatherstrip whereas the video only used the adhesive on the vertical part of the sides. Would you use the adhesive?

I am inclined to follow the video, since they manufactured the top and have an excellent rep for interiors. Incidently, I used AK seat foam and covers and video and the job turned out very well.

    Any comments? Thanx,
    Gary

C3's have cables. They send you the wrong video or they're all the same. You don't need glue on the weatherstrip overhead. It's hard to get it to rain in that direction.

Some 63s also had cables, at least early ones. The evidence will be a small ear near the top of the rear verticle where the attachment was. Actually I never use glue on top of the header. I think that it makes it look bad. You can use some under the front near the tacking strip if you want.
