    Crossfire Hesitation

1982 Crossfire hesitation. There are several items, which can cause hesitation, but in our case the problem became quite evident on our way back, from Bowling Green. Ended up at Owensboro, KY Chevy - Fuel pressure had dropped to 4 lbs. Fuel pump was replaced, gauge sensor and fuel filter. Pressure now 9 - 13 lbs. per mechanic. The hesitation had been there for years looking back at other owners work history. It's a pleasure to drive now. Earlier I had replaced the computer chip and thermostat to 160, which helps the shift points and startup when hot, but it's main problem all along I belive was the low fuel pressure.
