C3 Interior lighting

Teo bulbs go under the shifter plate. One inserts vertically up into the unit that holds the two temperature wheels and it looks like the other inserts horizontally into the same unit but closer to the firewall side. The question is this, the vertical bulb comes on when you tun the headlights on and the other one comes on and stays on after the headlights are turned off. It actually stays on all the time. This isn't right is it? This bulb inserts into a little housing and lights up when this housing contact another metal piece. Is it a bad ground or should it stay lit all the time?

Don The bulb with the little housing is for the cigar lighter and fits into the side of the unit to light it up. When it is on may be different on some model years and may come on with the lights. You have the other bulb in the correct location. Lyle
