    Many small questions, of course.

Thanks so much, just trying to get everything "correct" before the body goes on. 1. Are there lock washers on the engine mounts? Mine didn't come with them.

What's correct head mark? mine had a "H" in a circle, yet I had wrong mounts. I have "F" on there now.

    2. Front/Rear sway bar finish...natural or black.. Books say either, whats the judging preference, need to know before I press these (rear) bushings in. or were the bushings painted?

    3. Intake manifold correct bolt marking. Have "A" in a circle, yet originals have (I think) "WEF" with three slashes separating the letters.

    4. Exhaust manifold correct bolt markings, mine unreadable.

    5. Correct size of rear strut ends, bushings etc, for 68

    thank you jc

    Chester----

    A few comments:

1---It depends which engine mount bolts you're talking about. The 3 mount to block bolts are an indented hex head style with a captured lockwasher. The long through bolt does not use lockwashers. It uses flat washers with a "prevailing torque" lock nut. A common head mark for the long bolt is "A" and for the 3, short, indented hex head bolts is three lines with an anchor. THESE ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE ONLY BOLTS USED. Usually, I don't even comment on bolt headmarkings for non-specialized fastners.

2---As you say, the sway bars can be either natural forged steel or semi-gloss black. If I were you, I'd assume that mine were originally painted. If left in the "natural" condition they'll soon be "natural rust". "Natural rust" is NOT original.

3---Exhaust manifold bolts had concentric, double circles. "A" is a common headmark for big block intake manifold bolts. THESE ARE NOT NECESSARILY THE ONLY BOLTS USED.

4---rear strut rod bushings were 1-7/32" in diameter for 63-74 Corvettes. Replaceemnt bushings are available from GM under part number 3775762.
