Re: C3 Seat
Original seat backs have vertical pleats in 70, but are also vertical in 68,69 and 71. Horizontal pleats are on 72s.
I saw the previous post on your seats, and something is definitely fishy in Denmark. I believe you said before that the seat tracks or adjusters did not fit the holes in your floor, and there was discussion about the seats possibly being out of another year Corvette.
Seat adjusters are the same between 68-71, so seats from those years should be mechanically interchangeable, and should bolt into the holes in a 70 floor without problems. The adjusters are different part numbers for 72, but I don't know that the mounting hole spacing is actually different. If your seat adjusters don't fit the holes in your 70 floor, then you have seats outside the 68-71 window, or someone has adapted some "other" adjusters to your seat frames. There should be some evidence of this modification if your seats are 70 seats.
There should be two steel reinforcing plates on the underside of the floor (one on driver side and one on the passenger side) for the front seat adjuster bolts. There are also smaller threading plates on the underside of the floor for the rear seat adjuster bolts. Check to see if these plates are there; any seats or seat adjusters not fitting these plates are incorrect for your car. If you have an AIM, these seat mounting attachments are shown on UPC1/Sheet 1.- Top
