Could someone measure the distance from the front of the hood opening to the top of the 62 nose emblem ring and from the joint between the grill/body to the bottom of the emblem ring. Also the vertical distance from the left edge of the "V" to the ring and the same for the right edge of the "E". Thanks, I sure need the help.

Re: 62 nose emblem location
OK Greg - Here goes. Course, you've probably shot the color coat by now.
Hood opening to top of nose emblem ring: 2 9/16". (In taking this measurement, I'm hanging my vernier caliper over the lip of the hood opening, not trying to pick some special spot on the curve of the opening. On 3 '62's, this measurement varied 1/32".)
Vertical distance from left edge of the V to the ring: 2 25/64"
Vertical distance from right edge of the E to the ring: 2 5/32"
These 2 measurements did not vary at all on 3 '62's
Distance between the joint between the grill body to the bottom of the ring:
No comprehendo muchacho... Distance from top of the grill surround to the bottom of the ring: 4 57/64", but can vary 1/32" to 1/16". I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over that... Hope this helps a little. Dennis- Top

Clarification
When I indicate vertical distance - in reality, I should probably use the word diagonal distance, as its about a 45 degree measurement. If I'm driving you nuts with this stuff, email @ denson@gorge.net- Top
