All,
I had a request for help with a password yesterday. I answered the request as usual and sent the reply to the person asking for help. They happen to be on prexar.net for an ISP. The message was returned as undeliverable. I can't help this person because the only contact information I have is that e-mail address.
This is not the fault of the person asking for assistance. Due to the proliferation of SPAM many services now filter your mail for any clues that it might be SPAM and bounce it if they suspect anything. These services are attractive to all of us because we don't want SPAM. The problem lies is how poorly they do the job. The spammers change their tactics as soon as they start getting bounced so they can still get the mail through. They can send their SPAM from anywhere with all kinds of different wording to avoid the filters. The website here at NCRS.ORG doesn't have that luxury.
I just wanted to let you know that I check the e-mail at least daily for users that have password problems, or any other questions or problems. I always answer those problems with a priority. When you make a request and don't receive any reply, make an effort to contact me from an alternate e-mail address. This problem is happening with more and more frequency, and may very well happen to you either from this website or other sites that have the same problem.
Ask your ISP if they have a "Whitelist" in their SPAM filter. This is a list of addresses to accept mail from just as a "Blacklist" is a list of addresses to reject mail from. If they do, ask them to put ncrs.org on that list.
Thanks for reviewing my ranting.
