    judging points

I heard that you earn points for participating in judging events and schools. What are they used for?

    Re: judging points

    Hey Bill:

Judging points are earned and go toward NCRS recognition as a master judge. NCRS will send a judging pin level once a year showing what level you've attainted. At 100 points, you've attained the Master Judge level and get recognized with hat and pin. AT 200, you get hat, shirt...etc.

      Same....

system is in place for Tabulators (recognition program) with the point allocation per event being different. The recognition programs are covered in the NCRS Judging Reference Manual (the 'white' book). Obtaining a Level 1 status in either the judging or tabulation recognition program is one prerequisite for another NCRS award; the Founders Award. This is a GREAT avenue for those who aren't really interested in creating a museum piece out of their Corvettes, want to participate in the club's activities and truly intend to DRIVE/USE their Corvettes. All of the club's awards along with general rules of conduct and Flight scoring standard deductions are covered in the 'white' book. It's a must read for club members wanting to come on out and join the fun!!!!!!

Bill: it might interest you to know that the old fellow from lyle, wash who posted you , is the fellow who created the ncrs judging recognition program that has successfuly resulted in the education of hundreds ncrs "black hatters", thereby creating the old car hobbys elite core of judges. we all owe Dennis Clark a thank you. mike

            Re: judging points

Thanks to all of you guys. I joined the NCRS to learn about the cars then I found out that I could learn more by being a judge. I have been to one judging workshop here in the UK so far and will go to as many more as I can before I come back to the US. I was happy with the education. When I found out you could get awards for leaning more about cars that really made my day. Now I have to read that white book as carefully as my cars manual.

            Thanks

            Bill
