C2 Ride Height

I am in the process of replacing the suspension components on my 67 a/c small block coupe and could use some input on the ride height. The front end sags somewhat and I would get it to approximately 1 inch above the stock height for tire clearance. Any suggestions on components to use to acomplish this? If I install big block springs will the ride quality suffer a lot? How does the use of polyurethane bushings affect the ride quality? Thanks for your input.

If you buy the replacement springs from any of the major Corvette parts houses, it will result in the ride height being raised to the limits.

I purchased coil springs from Corvette Central and my ride height is dead on. I wouldn't recommend urethane bushings - too stiff for a driver and noisy.

Kenny,
If your not concerned with "correctness", by all means install urethane control arm bushings. Despite what some people say, the urethane will ride MUCH smoother and last longer. I like the ones from Vette Brakes the best. I've used them for years with no problems and install then on all coustomer cars.
