Re: C3 Carpet Installation
I have installed several sets of carpet in my 69. You can get can way without glue on the front carpet and the rear riser. However, the rear compartment floor carpet will require glue. The reason is that due to the size of the piece, it will not lay flat. You can use a minimal amount to hold it in place. The pieces that go over the wheel wells will also require glue, since there is nothing else to hold these pieces in place other than the shoulder belt retractor. The rear compartment doors will also reqiure glue because the plastic trim pieces will not hold them in place. In all cases use a minimal amount of glue. If you keep the car long enough you will probably replace the carpet again since the repro carpet doesn't wear well.
Good Luck
