C3 Rear Window Defogger

I have a 68 with the C50 (rear window defogger) option. However, the previous owner removed the on/off switch and the blower motor itself. I still have the vent in the driver-side B pillar and want to keep it. Does anyone sell or "specialize" in these type of parts/options?

And if I find one, were the 68 blower motors (3014886) the same as following years? And are they dated?

Kevin: My 71 coupe has that option, the knob that protrudes from the forward left side of the console is the same as a 68 Caprice light switch style knob, you may be able to pick one up at a salvage yard, cheap. I don't know about dates on the blower or what vendor may have these parts.

Your best bet would be to get the parts at a swap meet. I'm not sure if the blower motor is date coded. If they are it would almost be impossible to see the date. I can't see a date code on my 69. I would suspect that the blower motor is the same part number for all the years the option was offered.

At Carlisle I have seen complete set ups with an asking price of five hundred and up. Some of the large salvage dealers may have some parts. Lyle
