    NEED HELP AND OPINIONS!!!!!

I am buying a few more cars for my collection next week and would like to know if the following cars are worth buying or are special/good investment!!

1963 black/red interior/black top convertible in mint condition/327/340 4spd for $28,000. and also..... 1971 gold/black leather convertible w black top,454/365hp auto full power and noted as a "bloomington benchmark" survivor in mint condition...low miles at a cost of $27,000.

please advise with your opinions on these two cars....want to make the right choice ...thaks guys!!

    Re: NEED HELP AND OPINIONS!!!!!

Prior post on this subject (value/economics) said beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Current market value of any classic item varies with time/place/buyer/seller. If you like the cars and want them, the prices listed don't seem TOTALLY out of line.

The Shark has some pedigree associated with it's NCCB credentials. But, the Catch-22 of any set of credentials to reinforce value/authenticity is their currency. It's not uncommon practice for savvy buyers/exporters to line up at the exit tunnel of the awards tent in Bloomington and make/close deals on the spot.

Why? Well, once a car's been judged it IS possible for the owner to remove key value components and/or change configuration/condition (as simple as driving the car and putting wear/tear on it). So, there is a 'caveat' to buying cars with supporting credentials. Bottom line, it's your call....
