    C1 Door Alignment

The rear of my drivers door is sagging a bit thus making a less than perfect fit of the window post to the windshield. The resulting bad fit causes a considerably annoying rattle. I want to adjust the door up a bit in the back. Anything I should be aware of before I try it? Thanks.

    Re: C1 Door Alignment

Steve: what year c-1? if its a pre mid-57, these c-1s lack the metal reinforcements behind the kick panel and they are notorious for door sag and the fix is a major deal. if your c-1 is a post mid 57, then adjustment if pretty straight foreward, just remove the door panels and loosen all six bolts fastening the door to the hinge, re-adjust and retighten the six bolts. good luck, mike

      Steve,

You might also check the hinge pins for wear. Replacements are available.

      Good luck.
