I am looking for the cam specs for friend's 1977 L-48. Would someone provide those for me? Where is a good source for this type of information?
Part number is 3895929. It is known as the "300 HP cam" and was used on base engines from '67 to '80. From the Chevrolet Power Manual duration at .050" tappet lift is 195/202, points of max lift aaare 108/116, which yields a centerline angle of 112. Maximum lift is .390"/.410".
The 929 is an excellent high torque cam that yields a smooth idle.
