Yes, and I'm surprised that they haven't removed that "information" from their catalogs by now. I think that it's been thoroughly discredited and being the source of such "information" does not serve them well.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I see some folks have recognized my quotes.
I figure I will need a system in a year or two so I started reading up on systems. So far I have not found anyone offering the "off road" 56-57 round mufflers on a 55 system. Too bad, because according to my Dad, Ken Keyser, and GM, that's what it came with new. Dr Rebuild said he could provide it, but the tailpipes were engineered for the oval mufflers, and might be troublesome. Others were either less knowledgable or less helpful. Heck, probably some of them did come with the ovals, Lord knows they could've had plenty of them left over at the end of the 54 model run.- Top

I stand corrected - but it does NOT
appear in the spec guide listing of option usage, but it does appear in the Options index page of the AIM as a non-illustrated option. It is curious that there is not a "number" in the end-of-the-year stats. Another anomaly for the Corvette fact seeker....- Top
