1961 Gas Door Question

Hi,
I am in desperate need of some acturate information regarding the attachment of a mid year 1961 Gas Door unit. The judging guide states most 1961's were attached with two U head bolts from the outside and all 62's were installed with the bolt protruding out from the inside attached with a nut. I would greatly appreciate if anyone on here that has a mid production year model or earlier to tell me how there door is installed? I have seen it done both ways in 1961 and would like to know for sure.

#695 has nut plates riveted behind the filler well, and the door assembly screws from outside in. -k

Gas door on #1443 attaches with bolts like #695 above.

Sorry to say, I don't have a camera. I got my car in boxes so I can't guarantee that the bolts on my door are correct. Also, I tried to e-mail you and got rejected, must be something wrong with your address.
