I have a 70 coupe with a rebuilt L46 and 4speed. The vacuum lines were all replaced last winter and the headlights and wipers worked great until last week- now the wiper cover raises when the car is running, can be retracted by hand when the car is not running. All the lines look connected. Is there a common point to check first with this type of problem? Thanks

Re: '70 wiper cover
Hello, I remember the check valve as a probable culprit. Any way I made, last year, an article in Spanish, in our local club website. If you have a way to translate it, could be helpful to understand the details.

Re: '70 wiper cover
The pull down vacuum switch below your steering console could be on or pulled down. One pull down switch controls the headlights to leave them up and the other switch leaves the wiper door up even when the wipers are not being used.- Top

Road trip story to run....
good deal! As Roberto's secret 'ghost' editor, this story was read by Rocky Mtn Chapter newsletter editor, Joyce Bell, who'd agreed to run it IF its publication was declined by Restorer. Now, we know the skinney and can call off the 'dogs' at our local press shop....
Also, Roberto's vacuum system story HAS been read by RMC bi-linguals and 'pirate' copied via e-mail to several NCRS members in Europe where the language 'barrier' issue is almost a non-issue. Sounds like Her Terry would opt for another Roberto/Uncle Jack translation collaboration????- Top

Re: '70 wiper cover
Hello Terry, of course you can use it, it's an honor to be published in the Restorer or the RMC gazette. I could translate it but would need to bother UJ to get corrected. My English is not that perfect but Jack enjoy to read Spanish So if you like to translate it much the better. Your choice.
Please let me know at the proper time for the drawing/graphic files, I have the originals made in Corel Draw. Glad the Trip article is at the top of the FIFO? pile.
