    Tank sticker

    Hi!

I'm replacing the fuel tank on my 72 coupe and after dropping the old tank I found the tank sticker. The text has faded but I was able to read/guess most of it. Anyway there was a couple of weird lines that maybe someone could explain to me.

In the Comfort & Con. section the first two lines say F.HUB and R.HUB, what do these lines mean? Next is the first option (rear window defogger) and then on next two lines it seems that it says FRONT SPRINGS and REAR SPRINGS??? Then the list goes on with normal options. Oh yeah one more thing, it says ENGINE EMISSION on one line and the rest of the line is unreadable (looks like ...IDE...TIPI...), any comments on that one?

    Re: Tank sticker

    Tomi,

I have heard of tank stickers or, more appropriately, build sheets found in various parts of the car in addition to the top of fuel tank. Other locations include between the speedometer and tachometer, behind the center instrument cluster, beneath the glove box, and possibly under the passenger seat. This last one is unconfirmed but recently when my brother-in-law sold his '78, the new owner noticed a piece of paper under the edge of the carpet beneath the passenger seat but one of the seat bolts prevented closer review of the sheet at the time. This may have been another build sheet.

    Anyway, happy hunting.

The front(F62) and rear(G32) springs is normal to be on the build sheet. My 71 has both of these along with one other odd ball one: Tire pressure sticker. I can't help with the rest but they are certainly normal components that are listed but are not options. It is a build sheet and not a options list.
