1975 CONVT PAINT CODES

HELP:

I am looking to purchase a 75 convt. The only problem is the paint/trim codes. The trim tag reads as follows paint 22L and trim is 73v which equal brigt blue on dark red. This is not standard, can this car be a COPO? I know the car's tag is correct backed up by a build sheet! Would this make the car more valueable?

Value is very subjective. My personal opinion is yes and no. It could be more valuable to some, who may really like or desire the "non-standard" paint/trim combination. Yet, since it is "non-standard" combination, others may view it negatively, hence a lower price/value. If you like it then thats all that matters. I believe that the build sheet would identify it as COPO if it was.

Steve W hat I have seen on the build sheet is customer ordered on non suggested interior colors. It did not require a COPO. Lyle

Can you tell what the best way to identify if it is a COPO? Also the trim tag reads as follows TRIM 73V 22 L Paint F-26. What does F-26 Mean?

F-26 is the body build date...in 1975, F = March, so your body was mated to the chassis on March 26, 1975 and probably rolled off the assembly line a day or two later.
