I need some help. Having problems latching my soft top to the deck lid. I had original saw-tooth latches and catches, thought that they might be worn, thus my problem, since the sawtooth wouldn't catch, so I bought the repro's, compared the repro's to the originals and mine didn't seem to be warn at all, but I installed the new ones anyway. Same problem, the sawtooth won't catch. I have spent hours adjusting and sometimes I can get one to catch but not the other. Anybody have any idea's or tricks on what I can do??? Thanks in advance for your help.

The original saw tooths had sharp edges and points, repro's don't . Also the female edge can get worn. I file the teeth and female sharp so that they catch each other.Also moving the females outward or inward can help. -

Had a similar problem with my 53. Found out the latches were on the wrong sides (Per John Kennedy). I swapped them and now they work great. Eric W. JacksonComment
