    Reference Book for Differential

Can anyone tell me of any available reference book that shows an exploded view of a 70 posi differential as well as any detailed instructions for seal and bearing rebuild. Thanks!

    Peter,
Having just removed my posi from my 57 and installing new gears. I recommend the video from Richmond Gear. I used it with perfect results and even suprised myself. As for an exploded view, the GM parts book, mine is circa 1973, has a nice one. If you can't find one and you have a fax, email me and I will fax it to you.

      Peter and Larry-----

The best manual that I have found for this is the Chevrolet Chassis Overhaul Manual. For your 70, the manual to get is the 1970 edition of the aforementioned. Many folks have the Chassis SERVICE Manual, but they don't get the Chassis OVERHAUL Manual. For the years about 1966 to 1972 when Corvettes were combined with other Chevrolet model manuals, you need BOTH manuals to have it all.
