C1 Turn Signal Problem

Hi all,
I am having a problem figuring out as to why my 1961 turn signals all flash when turned to the right(signal wise)and works fine when the signal arm is pushed down for a left turn signal. Should both signals flash in the back in their perspective direction or should just the outer signal flash? Both signals function perfectly in the front.
Second question?
Should the parking lamps be lit when you turn the headlights on or only in the first switch detent? Thanks for all of your help.

Craig. First teh two questions I can answer: Both rear lights should flash and the park lights are only on at the first detent. Park lamps didn't start staying on with the headlights until the late 60' or early 70's.

As to the first problem, I would suspect a short of some sort in your turn signal switch. Do the brake lights operate normally? If so, it almost has to be in the switch, since the circuit is the same as the t/s from the switch back.

Both sets of signals function fine when depressing the brake pedal. I am still at my witts end as to where to begin. Thanks for your help.

When there is something funky like this going on the place to start is the t/s switch.
