Can anyone tell me how to remove the wiper motor on my 67 Roadster? Do I need to disasemble the dash, remove speaker, etc.? I want to remove it to get it rebuilt and restored.
Also, I would like to remove the headlight motors, but it looks impossible to get to the bolt heads with the headlights closed. The engine and battery are out of the car. What is the easiest way to get to the bolts?
First I would suggest you get yourself an assembly manual. The headlight motors are screwd on from behind the dash. You will have to remove quite a few items to get at them. The headlight motors aren't bolted on. What you are looking at are the bolts that are used to mount the headlight buckets. The motors are held on with a clip and a small screw on the side with a support. Both of these can be found in the assembly manual

Although I haven't removed my ws wiper motor in about 6 years, the basic procedure is quite simple. Remove the glove box door and liner. I also removed the clock to allow more room to work. Once all that is complete I am pretty sure that you can see the nuts holding the motor. If you speedo cluster is also out, that makes it even easier. I don't remember exactly but I don't think that there is any reason to remove the side panels of the dash, the ones beside the radio. You will need to be agile to reach the far nut and the others are relatively simple, just lots of wires. BTW, be sure and disconnect your battery because the othe above reason. I have been shocked doing this.
