I would like to know of any reputable suppliers that would be able to help me secure a rebuilt or "new" carburator for my 327/365 HP 1965 vette. Date code is not as important as functionality. Any recommendations out there? Thanx.

Re: Replacement Carburator for 1965 365hp
Pete,
I'm in the same boat but have limited my self to a 2818 (date not important). Have you looked at the holley 3367 from 1966 or the 3810 from 1967? I missed a NOS 2818 that sold for $280. I've heard the 3811 will work too.
I've also heard that your run of the mill 1850 with proper jetting is a suitable replacement and there are tons of them out there.
There is what appears to be a new 3367 on Ebay for $350. I have no idea what "new" means in this case. Holley still sells the 3367 as part of their O.E. muscle car line.
I've never even owned a holley so read with caution! I'm sure some others will weigh in.

Pete:
Any Holley 585 CFM model 4600 will work. Just be sure to install 122-65 primary main jets, and 122-72 secondaries, with a 065 power valve. Go to www.holley.com to check the specs.
If you want to spend the big bucks for a model 2818, then try Jerry Luck. He might have an improperly dated service replacement carb in inventory that he can prepare for you.

Thanks, new to the Carb situation. Went to the Holley web site, saw a 600 CFM/ model 4160 and 585 CFM / model 3367, not familiar with 4600 - also - additional rookie question: mechanical or vacuum secondary?- Top
