I need a source for helicoils in the following sizes 8-32, 10-32, 10-24. I have checked my local area including LOEWS and HOME DEPOT and the local parts jobbers. Can someone steer me to a source for these items? TIA, John.

You should be able to find them at McMaster-Carr. They have a great websit with a very good search function. They carry more industrial supplies than anyone I know and ship very rapidly.

NAPA stores carry Helicoils and you don't need to buy the whole kit. You can buy the right tap individually and then just the coils you need. The taps are the same size as the inside threads only they are "STI" (8-32 STI, 10-24 STI, etc.) In Detroit I buy them from Production Tool.

Thaks to all for the info. I tried to get them locally and the smallest I could find were 1/4-20s. For your reference; I have since gone to "McMaster-Carr.com" and "Grainger.com" and found that they carry them. I think I have the source.
