      Thanks for the memories, Dale.

Dale's wit and dedication to the Corvette hobby enriched us all. His passing should remind us that Dale was not singled out for special treatment; our lives are short. Let us remember to care for our families, our friends, and others around us, and to live life to it's fullest.

And, thanks Jer, for letting us know.

          What a guy !!

With a M.S. in EE and an MBA, both from M.I.T., where he also, by request, taught. As a Dixieland drummer who played with the likes of Bobby Hackett. From his banana plantation in Costa Rica to his horse farm in Massachusetts.

But, his first love was the Corvette, particularly the '62. With his incomparable wit, he will certainly be remembered and missed in this hobby.

It is, indeed, difficult to type with tears in the eyes.

I guess I knew this was going to happen, but still feel a little stunned and certainly greived. RIP Dale. Thanks for all the help.

Yes I too will miss Dale witt. Will also miss seeing his logging chain that he would use to chain the '59 with. I still have clear visions of this when we would have the chapter meets in Asheville, NC

Yes, Dale was one-of-a-kind. Like Gary I will always remember with a smile Dale's unique anti-theft device. I know he is swapping stories with all the other dear friends the hobby has lost in the past few years.

                          Ode to Dale Pearman

I'd like to express my sincerest gratitude to Dale Pearman for his tireless efforts and lifelong contributions toward the Corvette hobby. Ironically, I never met or talked to Dale personally, but for 5 years I've followed and looked forward to his expert, insightfull and witty responses on this discussion board. His knowledge on C1 Corvettes was superb, and my only hope is that other lifelong Corvette experts pass their wealth of knowledge on as much as he did. Anyone wishing to get a glimpse of Dale's spirit need only search the Archives of this discussion board with the keyword "pearman". He will be missed by more people than he ever knew.

                            Jerry, et al-----

I knew that Dale's passing was imminent, especially after several conversations that I had with folks in Nashville. It doesn't make the news much easier, though.

Keep in mind, however, that we still have much of Dale with us. Among so many other things, Dale was a frequent contributor to this discussion board. So, there is a lot of information about C1s, in particular, he provided that will remain with us in the archives for as long as the archives are extant. A good measure of Dale's humor and character will be found there, too. Through the archives, Dale will be truly alive and, in a way, immortal.

As I've said many times before, the NDB archives are a great way that the knowledge, experience, and information of one generation can be passed on to the following generations. And, in a small way, we can "keep alive" the folks that have "moved on". We'll all get our chance to follow them. Bet on it!

Now, this is a GREAT day to discuss Corvettes! In case anyone doubts that or feels otherwise, if we could ask Dale just ONE more question and we asked him if we should discuss Corvettes at the time of his passing, what do you think that he'd say?

I would hope that he would have revealed the answer to The Question.

                              What a unique human.
